I'm not quite sure what color this is.

Not quite red, not quite purple.....but VERY dark. Maybe wine-colored?

NOWHERE TO HIDE....a strange color and veined. Registered as a tan-brown blend

GREEN ICON

Yes, it is mostly green....but there are hints of white and even cream

PERSIAN RUBY

Can be more on the reddish-side or often nearly black/purple

TALL DARK STRANGER

We've seen this one posted before, in varying color schemes. This is what color mine chooses:

HOUZZ is giving me a hard time right now.....I keep posting and losing photos. Will keep trying later!

This is a marvelous daylily, tall and a quick multiplier.

Woman at the Well is registered as apricot. I see yellow. This one opens well despite the ruffling.

I like this category! Allegheny Skyline haszero os been on my want list for a long long time. So beautiful. I also like Two Sues, Tiffany Shade, and Blood of the Martyrs. You pushed my button on these, Debra. Celeste and Sherry, Tall Dark Stranger is also beautiful! I also like Green Icon and Pistachio Moon.

Judge Roy Bean is sort of copper and brown and orange.

this seedling is also hard to classify.

VT RR Red is sometimes reddish, sometimes orangeish [like here].

Erin Farmer looks fuchsia pink here but sometimes is melon or peach or lighter pink.

I don’t have a lot of these but the ones I do are special!

One year this bloomed and I was thrilled because I had not seen it before!! I sent some to Celeste and did some research in my notes and found it to probably be True Gertrude Demerest by placement but not looks.

The following years it has never shown that white again but does have a myriad of colors

Substantial Evidence-first year bloom last year-I loved it (yellow!!!)

This year this was the bloom. This one is all over the place in the database

That every so often throws broken colors like this!

I have always wondered why these two are described as orchid with a plum violet eye. In our garden, the base color has always been soft orange or melon.

B in 8a - Your mass plantings are wonderful. I especially like Fins to the Left! Paco Bell looks good with both the bright yellow and the light yellow.

Nan - Francois Verhaert and Adamas definitely aren't orchid for you. Adamas was always orchid here. I wonder if it is your soil that makes the differerence?
