Hello!

I recently had a beautiful kitchen remodel done. However, I hate my subway tile backsplash.

As you can see from the photos, I feel like I have significant lippage and was under the impression my tile job would be flush and smooth.

The subcontractor sent a pretty young kid who I felt was inexperienced. He “buttered” each tile individually and made some really rough cuts.

He ended up doing 75% of the backsplash and I finally asked him to leave. The next day, I was sent a better tile installer who did the last wall and it is to my expectations.

First, how bad is this? It’s more visible when under counter lighting is on and washing imperfections.

Second, what can be done to fix this? My contractor is out of town and won’t be back until next week.

Very concerned and don’t want to pay for this.
