I tried attaching several still photos but something didn’t work so below is a U-Tube video of our patio. We reside in northern IL where high winds also occur. Facing west, we have cast aluminum, faux wood, teak and wicker pieces. They remain in place throughout the summer. Cushions and umbrellas are stored when not in use.

What a beautiful back yard! I'm just dubious as to the cast aluminum and certainly the wicker staying in place. We once bought a teak picnic table (albeit a rather lightweight oner) and the same night we put it out it, the wind pushed it in cartwheels across our yard and broke a leg. 20 mph winds are frequent here and certainly higher now and then. And there's nothing blocking it.

I can only attest that they remain in place here and +40 mph gusts are common. Perhaps because they are in an open area where wind passes thru is our good fortune rather than breezes becoming ”trapped” against the house.

Perhaps Adiriondeck chairs would be a consideration. We’ve had various ones for more than 20 years and never has one blown about. Current faux wood ones around the fire pit are quite heavy.

Geofront, what would be examples of dense metal furniture. This is a new term for me. The previous commentor mentioned weighted aluminum. Is that what you're talking about Are there other dense metals, as well?
