Old Cavalier Electric Wall Heater

My 1947 house came with this old wall heater. Is it safe to use? Tried to search the brand/model online woth no success. It does work but just smells like burning when turned on due to all the dust. I will clean it but wanted to know if its salvagable at this point. Thanks!
