Sure,here you go. If dowels go all the way through top and are visible,drill them out,cut members to desired size then reassemble with next larger dowels.

If dowels are not visible on top,cut supports flush with bottom surface of top. A flush cut saw similar to THIS does a nice job. You can do a creditable job with a cross-cut handsaw if you protect wood with a piece of plastic between blade and wood. You might have to re-cut supports to square them before re-assembly.

That’s what it looks like so I would say you can see the dowels, but you can’t feel them. I thought about having my husband cut straight down the middle where the shelving is and then separating it into two desks, but he said he doesn’t want to do that. I don’t want to bring this downstairs so the only thing to do is cut it upstairs. I thought about him flipping it over and just cut the base legs off and then using a reciprocal saw to try and remove the middle support from the top.
