I would raise the mirror higher on the wall and pace a tall boy chest underneath.

... something thin AND USEFUL. ... not just something to fill the space.

do you need/use that table with the lamp on it? A broader photo might help see what you are working with.

Personally I think I would go with a very tall mirror I like the shape of the mirror but it's just too stubby as is the little table it's overwhelmed by the mirror and it's too dark. Consider it like a matching combination of mirror and table beneath something double the length of the table and skinny no drawers. Above it a mirror that is at least as high as the window to the left and falls just above the table within an inch. Match the color of the table in the mirrors so white or whatever your accent colors are in your house.

I like both of the above suggestions. From the mirror’s reflection it appears the wall faces the entry? So the wall could make a first impression of your home… I like the mirror to reflect light, but a wonderful piece of art would also work - if you wish to fill the space underneath yes, you could add something not too wide but functional like a bar cart, shelf (rattan? Something to match your style) with plants, pictures, or books, cabinet, wine storage

Thank you Lyn, I am attaching more photos as you requested. This mirror is opposite the entry door which is abut 40 feet away. It is hung at about 40 inches above the floor. I would love to find a chest or console table that is high and does not leave an empty space under the table. Under 10 inches would be ideal if I can find it, but I haven't yet. I am frustrated and i am now looking at compromises. I agree that something useful would be great. I have attached a chest that might work but I'm not really sold on it.

I don't really have space to waste. :-) the table with the lamp on it is not staying. It is another place holder until I find a way to bring the space together. Thank you!

Thank you! I very much like the idea (and that cabinet) and have been searching for something that might work. Much of the time it is either too wide and/or too deep. I think I may be limited to 36" W and tops 13"D because the area makes for a narrow walkway. Hight is welcome. We hung the mirror at 40" from the floor. I plan to add tall decor.

I think it would be great with just the mirror, or a narrow floating shelf under the mirror.
