i cant quite tell pot size to plant size ratio ... though you just mentioned that in another post.. so im sure you are aware of that variable ...

when in doubt propagate it... you will either succeed with that.. or learn how to kill it.. lol ..

Not enough water or too much fertilizer/salt? BTW mine lost all its leaves sitting in SE window when I left it unattended for more than a month. I mention because we were comparing our plants in another post. I did water it beforehand but it is in fat draining mix and I suspect it did not appreciate prolonged dry conditions while the weather was still pretty warm indoors. At least the caudex is healthy. It will probably be leafless until warm weather arrives but I am not giving up on it. Yours looks perfect in comparison. :)

Thank you both. Maybe it's going to lose its leaves for dormancy. I could be underwatering. We keep the house pretty warm.

Mine are in the process of dropping all their leaves. Mine defoliate every winter, spend a few months bald, and then produce new leaves in spring. I have several and have had them multiple winters. It's just what they do.
