Sometimes we have to work with what we have. Ideally, you know the answer is to replace, but I assume that just isn't possible at this time.

I would find the color that works best and find a matte clear coat that I could use over all the surfaces to give them an extra layer of protection from scratches.

@Jennifer Hogan yeah i could replace. my issue is that these doors range from $100 to $300. replacing it once is fine, but the reality i am living in is that the doors will get scratched again. I am not going to keep replacing doors all the time. i just need a solution that looks good enough, not perfect.

If i ever reface i definitely wont use laminate again.

Yeah - don't we all wish we could just replace without a worry about cost, but that is only a reality for a select few people.

Again, just find the paint the seems to match the color as close as you can get a match, then spray all the cabinet faces with a matte clear coat finish. It will help protect what you have from scratching and will even the gloss level between the matching paint.

If you have to touch up again you can spray just the fixed area with another coat of clear coat.
