It's a great combo against the burgundy foliage.

Very nice! I like your color combinations. Is that a penstemon with the beautiful purplish foliage? What variety? I tried Dark Tower(s) (I think....) and was disappointed as it didn't hold it's color and turned green. Yours is beautiful, especially next to the yellow-green foliage!

A very good looking bed in all seasons with great combos I imagine as winter progresses very little will be visible if you get as much snow as I do.

@diggerdee zone 6 CT: thanks! the penstemon is Dakota Burgundy and the follage is purple throughout the seasons. I also planted Onyx and Pearls and it also has great color!

@peren.all Zone 5a Ontario Canada: thanks, that’s correct, we get a lot of snow and only the arborvitaes will be visible this winter!

I just remembered that it’s a Proven Winners phlox that was planted behind the penstemon. The variety is Uptown Girl.

Looks lovely in all seasons, mazerolm. I like the variety of foliage colors and how you have combined them, the sequence of bloom and the attention to having some winter interest. Well done!
