I havent been to this site in a long time. Thought Inwould drop by and show off my Mahogany Splendor hibiscus that I started from seed this spring. :)

It just started to bloom recently so here is a pic! I am in north Texas, near Dallas. :) It is treated as an annual here, as it died back with a frost. I am going to mulch and see what happens, but they were very easy to start from seed!

very nice. What area of Texas are you in? What kind of soil? Are you growing it as anual ? what kind of cold hardiness does it have?

Thank you for the extra info. We are a big state with such variable conditions. My big large mexican hanging turscap (hibiscus of sorts) likes to bloom at the time it will get cut off by a hard frost. Highly irritating.
