House Color Selection

We are building a home and are between Gray (LP Cavern Steel) and Black (LP Black Abyss) for the color. Here are the prototypes from the architect. Which one would look best?

When selecting colors for a home, I always advise selecting a color(s) that can be found in nature on your building site. Select a color that will make the house harmonious with its environment and reflects those that will occupy the home.

I avoid Halloween house that are colored any variation of orange and black.

What color would you suggest? We have based our home off of the model. However are wanting to go more modern and not white. Here is the model home.

From looking at your rendering I do not get a "more modern" vibe. My first thought was "cabin in the mountains of Colorado". Like this:

Where are you located, what direction does the house face? Our neighbor in Florida just painted their house black and it must be unbearably hot inside.

We're building a new house at the base of a mountain, and went to great lengths to make sure our stones match the stone on the face of the mountain.

OP, can't tell which color is which, but I prefer the lighter color if I was forced to choose. Who wants an all-black house?

The separate 3rd garage looks out of place for some reason.

The gray is so trendy I wouldn’t do that. How about a dullish green? Here’s a picture of the shades I like. (This sample picture pops up often here so I saved it.)
