It's melting! And, at 7 AM, has already had some rain on the snow.

Next, a major snowstorm in the mountains with some falling down here in the valleys. By the sound of the forecasts, the highway departments will have a great deal of trouble keeping the passes open - for the next 48+ hours. I hope that there are very few making a last minute trip in this neck of the woods. Besides, we may have temperatures well below zero between Christmas & New Years.

Happy Holidays to All!

Here in the Denver metro area it has been exceptionally mild and dry with lots of nights not getting below freezing which is unusual. The ground is nowhere close to frozen which generally occurs around December 10. I managed to plant another bed of garlic last week due to the relatively warm soil. Still have snapdragons blooming!

Same as gjcore, but windy as I'll get out. Need snow on the mountain.
