I am about to replace my carpeting in the hallways along with my railing. Currently I have my carpet around and past the balusters. My contractor offered to put the balusters into a strip of wood and to carpet until this strip, rather than carpeting around the balusters. The balusters are metal. Which do people like better, and does anyone have a picture of carpeting to the strip of wood?
