I have two small guest bedrooms to furnish, starting with one that is 9x13 with 7’ ceilings.

I have purchased a bed (color is “graphite”, nice blend of brown and dark gray/black) and have room for a decent size nightstand, chair and maybe a small low chest or console type (narrow) table. The bed is upholstered and advertised as “modern” (w/adjustable platform, and mattress, the top of mattress will be about 29”H)

Any suggestions on style and height of nightstand? I’ve seen a few I like but they felt too short (22”) and am thinking something about 26-28” would be better… so have included those pictures here.

I don’t want to get too modern in this 70 yr old house and your opinions and suggestions are appreciated!
