Hi guys! I have a condo conversion from the late 1960's and it has a 'boiler ' heating system. It goes through all our units. My ceiling, my upstairs neighbor's floor, etc. When I first bought my place 15 years ago I tried the heating system and i got sick EVERY time I used it, every year. A sore throat, hoarse voice, then a cold etc. SO i have not used it for like 11 years. I use space heaters, but it's really cold. Can i get a professional in to clean out the vents? or should I stick to space heaters? P.S. Some neighbors do use theirs and they have never gotten sick. ( not on my stack, elsewhere in my building)
