Dirt - I am pretty disappointed in James Galway, he nearly bloomed once before all the buds died and fell off. The one bud that did bloom had ho fragrance to my nose, and he takes an awful long time to bloom again. I picked up this rose after seeing another posters amazing flush of roses on it. So far for me JG has been a dud, I have moved him to a sunnier location. I hope to get a better spring flush this year.

I really like Heritage. I know some people don’t because they say it blows fast but I don’t bring cut roses inside usually. I’ve found it to be a quick grower, fragrant and reasonably healthy.

I don't tend to bring roses inside either, just enjoy them in the garden.

From what I've read Heritage does rebloom quickly.

I do hope James is better for you in the spring, climbers do take a while. I have seen so many beautiful photos and read so many great comments, I'm keeping my fingers crossed 🤞
