personally it looks like a salvaged part of a school storage area or from a store or bank or factory supply room . I think maybe it got stripped , intentionally w some burnished worn feel left intact...... and then some briwax or similar put on. dont spend hours and weeks in search for this. its one of a kind. furniture finish on select maple w a stain.....alder or pine etc. Select alder is probably your best bet.

+1 on a guess that this is alder, probably clear/select alder with a stain that is close to the alder's original warm color. To get a similar look, first pick a wood species with very "quiet" grain (e.g., alder, birch). Then try (or get your cabinetmaker to try) different finishing schedules. Often new pieces are made to look old and unique using multiple colors and types of stains (e.g., a light stain followed by a glaze or darker stain that is mostly wiped off).

Another way to get the patina in a new piece is to work with a cabinetmaker who uses reclaimed wood.
