Hi Robin, We here in ”the other Vancouver”, Vancouver, WA, are also experiencing much colder than norm temps for this time of year. It’s 27 degrees F now at 7pm. I have three ”Hummers Heated Delight” feeders I’ve been using for three years now. Very simple setup made by a guy in Albany,OR. The heat is supplied by a 7 watt bulb. They come with a short cord which I plug into a light outdoor extension cord. I was thrilled to find these as I had been bringing 5 feeders in after dark & setting my alarm for dawn to put them back out. I often had starving hummers landing on them before I got them up! Now I can sleep in knowing they can wait for the non heated ones to come out since they have access to these! I looked them up & see he’s out of stock but maybe something you’d be interested in for later? Here’s the link Heated feeder

Thanks KW! I have a similar heater that I bought at Wild Birds Unlimited here in BC, but it only has a 4 watt bulb, I've been using it for years with no problem but it did freeze last night. I'm trying this concoction on another feeder. The weather in the Pacific Northwest has been bizarre this year! Will search out 7 watt "normal" bulb in this world of LED lighting tomorrow. I will also watch Hummers Heated Delight for new stock. Thank you again. Stay warm. :)

Bullet Proof Suet Feeders

Different Subject, but these pricey Suet Feeders are impervious to squirrel attacks and raccoon attacks. I've had two of them for eight years.
