The only hosta I have that has not yet been mentioned is Bridal Falls. Roughly 5 yo and had a recent move. Unfortunately, I find it to be extremely prone to sun-damage. This thing melts away in only half-day sun for me, but is great until about August.

One of my favorites, although very slow. This Brother Stephan is roughly 8 yo and only developed the bumps last year. It was so plain in the first year, I was totally convinced that I was growing the wrong hosta. Shh... pretend that there are no dandelions underneath =)

Lastly, I have a division of the same Blue Angel plant, one quarter of which I planted in deep shade and another quarter which I planted in just over half-day sun. The original plant was roughly 30 years old (I planted for my mom when I was in high-school), but I split it three years ago. I think I understand why people love this Hosta.

Mosswood, your Bridal Falls and Brother Stefan are to-die-for.

Peren, your Bridegroom could be the best clump I've ever seen. You should submit a photo to the HostaLibrary.

bloodline works best in a spot with a couple hours of direct sunlight as it unfurls. so mostly shade with a 2-3 hours of sun.

i will put a link under the photo when the order form is ready. there will only be 75 available this year. They will ship in june. its probably the most reliable and complete blusher available now. its very sensitive to light and temperature. its almost like a canary in a coal mine in regards to garden conditions. its like no other hosta.

I like that microscopic view of salt and pepper.

Mosswood, my Bridal Falls was growing at a snail's pace so I moved it two years ago, but it's slow going with this one. I hope mine will look as good as yours some day.

It's certainly a mild winter here so far. We have not had a freeze yet and I'm still using the air conditioner. It was 83 degrees on Christmas day. My hosta aren't dormant yet.

It was a guess back in 2020 when I was posting all my NOIDs. Here's a couple more pics of it from this year, when it was looking more blue. Comparing to others posted here, it looks too small, but it has been shrinking over the past several years, probably due to tree root competition.

I have a Sum and Substance that is a mere shadow of its former self from being eaten to the nub by deer for a few years. It is recuperating now because I spray with Bobbex.

Well, hahaha, I am one who definetely confirmed that as BA back in 2020 as well as a number of others. The flower shot up close did it for me. Next year just post as BA no doubts. I think in the pic above, the birds looked smaller to and so the entire hosta looked small.

This is a different smaller Blue Cadet. I just love the way Blue Cadet unfurls in the spring.

I love Blue Mouse Ears and have a few of them. This one unfortunately is sandwiched in between two large mature hosta! I will be trying to find a good place for it in the spring.

This is Blueberry Muffin. It had been growing in a pot. In 2020 I planted it into this new raised bed. I find that hostas that have been growing in a pot for a few years take a year or so to settle in. So in 2022, I hope I will see a happier, larger BM!

Banana Boat is not ready for its closeup (yet) so decided to take a bow with Ben Vernooij (and friend). Its nice to have a yellow center that doesn't change colors, here on June 8th.

Although, I still love Ben Vernooij, its spring coloring (May 1st) is the most interesting to me.

I did find a location where it maintains some of the yellow edges into August.

While I love the subtle variation in early season Beyond Glory, the later season is great too (see Perens pics above)

Arrgh, who wants to scroll all the way up anyway. You can thank me later. Guess it's still a yellow center, that may be why I like it.

The edges get even brighter. I'll have to see if I can find it in a group shot later in the season.

Bridal Falls starts out with yellow edges too, but looks best when they turn white (which I didn't get a pic of). Fortunately, many others did. Mosswoods' looks exceptional. Hopefully, mine will get there in a year or two. It sulked in too much shade for a couple years for me, but liking the new spot so much better.

Autumn Frost is virtually identical to Ben Vernooij, although I don't grow them both. I like Ben Vernooij better (because I have one).

I am glad you rescued your Bridal Falls! Yours is a good size and should turn into a real beauty in a year or two.

Unfortunately I did rescue mine in a timely manner! It's just a tiny thing, but I have hope! At some point after planting it in this location, I had to put plastic mesh around it to stop the squirrels from digging near it. I needed to protect every bit of root!
