Should I take down walls?

Hi,I moved into my small cape cod house a year ago. And the lack of flow is taking me for a loop. When you walk in the door there is a formal living room with a fireplace. Then a eat in kitchen on the other side of the wall and then a family roo. On the other side of the kitchen wall. What can be done with this layout?

So we can all guess or you could post a to scale floor plan showing all windows doorways all rooms named , all measurements clearly marked and then get real help. Use graph paper it makes it easier to do scaled drawings. The give us a clue as to a budget, what it is you do not like about all the issues you have. That is the only way to get help here

150K+ budget? Gonna live there 20 years? Hire an architect. Less funds? Live with your starter home as a starter home, until you upgrade by moving into the next house.
