I would look into getting a rod like this that allows you to close the curtain even with the additional brackets. You’ll need pocket curtains— much wider than what you have or another set or two.

Top down/bottom up shades and use your panels stacked back on each side.

I would get a double rod and grommet top sheers. You can then easily close the sheers at night but keep them open during the daytimey time.

I use sheers on a tension rod. Have blinds on other windows.

I would splurge on motorized blinds.

Get a better drapery rod and do drapes that actully can close across the whole window ans still lookms right so at least 2 1/2 x as wide as the rod and I like 3 x

I would recommend some custom inset fabric romans to soften and define the large window. They can be created for each section. The fabric options are plenty, a lightly lined sheer or no lining at all. You will have the ability to draw them up for day time use and draw them down for night time use. The panels on the sides can blend with the romans to allow for a soft cohesive look. Loud patterns can be distracting, immediately your eye is drawn there, when you want to take in the room without anything startling.

Or you could plant a small tree outside the window which will give you privacy; shade in the summer and light in the winter.
