I think it is my Ruffled Mouse Ears you are thinking of? It is a really good fast grower unlike some other mice. Similar to Church Mouse. I have found Holy M E and Frosted M E to be much smaller and slower overall.

Locally I can get good perennials but the roses and hosta are always ordinary options

oursteelers..good to know..many here are experienced mail orderers..I'm a "better safe than sorry" personality and thought "I don't need to do that"..but having more options is tempting..

Oursteelers, I was able to get on the site and order $69 worth of hostas. Ta-da! First purchase of the season…….many more to come I am sure. Mostly small medium as I am running out of room for large hostas. Though I took out a large bush out front and that will give me some space. Good luck with Cupitini.
Peren, you are right!! Your RME is what I am thinking of…… I bought one last summer because of yours! Mine will take years to get to your size. :-)

My cats love to sleep in the hostas too, but they are small and usually lie under the leaves, thank goodness! 🐈🐈‍⬛ :-)

Nicholsworth- good on you! I so can relate. New roof in July and boy what a number on the garden. Hopefully the damage was just leaves being crushed and torn up.

Shadow..I can fix it..the man that came to meet with me was so kind..he says "I can see this was a labor of love..I'm authorized to offer $$..if that amount isn't acceptable there's another process"..it was more than enough to replace the damaged plants..I'm glad that I called..

I had to look four times to see the BMD in the second pic. Glad you posted them again so we could appreciate them better. They look so cute in the Hosta I wouldn't be able to keep them out (if I could) either. And now I've forgotten all the other comments I was thinking of, plus I still have to play catch up. so great photos all will have to do.

I have a couple Candy Dishes that form the front line against the Maple tree roots. They do OK, but hardly seem like 5 year olds.

I had problems growing Carnival next to the house foundation in shade, but seems to be bouncing back.

If it survives the winter, it may even go in the ground this year.

Mosswood - I've been looking for Cuyahoga for a few years now. I think it sells out quickly in Ohio. Don't be fooled by Old(as)Dirt's CasaC. I'm on my second one in second spot and still not happy although its growing as well as it ever has here. If you like the look check out Sharp Dressed Man. A great grower for me.

Corm Muffins needs another year (or more) to show its stuff.

Cosmos looks great early season but by July the white is melting out on me. Perhaps it needs more shade, more water, more time in the dirt or all three.

Crested Surf - highly recommended from Maple River Gardens (or wherever you can find it) bottom right. Barracuda middle left with Cutting Edge above it.

I've bought more than a few plants from MRG over the years and would recommend all of these: Abiqua Trumpet, Ann Kulpa, Arctic Blast, Arnold Black, Blaze of Glory, Cloudburst, Crested Surf, Cutting Edge, Dawn's Early Light, Emerald Charger, Foxfire Palm Sunday, Foxfire Zulu, Ginsu Knife, Hawkeye, Justine, Kisuji, Lakeside Banana Bay, Lakeside Storm Watch, Linda Sue, Little Treasure, Mango Tango, Miss Tokyo, Navajo, Norwalk Chartreuse, One Last Dance, Orange Star, Peedee Laughing River, Red Hot Flash, Restless Sea, Royal Tiara, Smiley Face, Tortilla Chip and Urchin. Generally smaller than average, but healthy and cheaper than other places. Now does that make me the greatest enabler here???

good to know that you've bought so many from MRG..as a completely inexperienced mail order buyer I have a question..how big were they?..I'm not expecting big plants but wondering what to expect..lots of what I'm considering are mini's and will be small..but how small?..how many leaves?..the site did say they might remove leaves for shipping..

How did I miss my Coconut Custard? One of the loveliest soft yellow Hosta in spring.

Christmas Lights will eat up that real estate in a couple years (I hope).

MRG sends nice multiple eyed minis. I received the plants just breaking dormancy, so not really any leaves to speak of at the time. Here's three I ordered from them last year Hacksaw, Little Miss Sunshine and Faithful Hearts. Perhaps more small than mini.

Cupatini is a cute hosta. I checked in the Hosta Library and see that there is only one picture of it. It was registered in 2009. Why is there only one picture?

Looks like I've got to get myself a Coast to Coast. It looks like a winner of a hosta!

Crazy for You finally coming around and growing bigger. It is a rather slow grower for me.

My new Curly Fries (unfortunately I didn't get a picture of my older Curly Fries). But I just potted this one up and I hung it on a chain. You can see I've used masking tape. This was to keep the plant from growing crooked.

As for that roller coaster: No way! But then let's just say that someone would give me a million dollars if I rode it. Hmmm. . . then maybe? Not sure I would survive it though! LOL

You are such a good grower I feel Cherry Berry would have done well for you. Hmmm maybe if it is ever available at your Hort Society sale you will give it a go and never regret it.

utog Climax is very photogenic. It (and the plants around it) looks to be planted in the ground. You will have a tough choice what to move when the time comes.

Cathedral Windows, which has really struggled for me. I finally dug it up this year and will try growing it in a pot for a couple years before replanting. Catherine in spring.

Utog, Cathedral Windows has also struggled for me. I don't even have a picture of it. Your Catherine is pretty.

And I thought I was the only one with Cathedral Windows problems. Did a little better last year after struggling the previous three. I'm hoping its done struggling this year. I wasn't going to post a pic of it, but you talked me in to it.

Sorry to hear you are also having problems with Cathedral Windows, Steve. Mine is just a one eyed little thing that I nearly lost. I moved it to a better location last year. We'll see if it actually appears in the spring! I've got to say that yours is looking pretty good to me!
