Light fixture in Kitchen

My electrician is coming for the finishing touches today. I’ve always had a ceiling fan in the kitchen, but i feel like now that i have wafers the fixture feels low and taking over the room. Any suggestions? I added a picture of my dining fixture to show more of my style.
