Too bad about the quince. A friend in Virginia has camellias blooming.

I know what you are talking about Kate. Warm weather here too off and on so far, but tomorrow night it is forecast to drop down to around 15 degrees. I hope 2022 won't be a repeat of that surprise arctic front that killed so many plants in Feb. 2021 in Ark, Ok, Texas etc......As to the shape of the plants now, I think I can outdo you on survivors. Although many of my daylilies have gone mostly dormant (except the Evergreens) I was amazed to spot a small bit of a Wax Begonia on the North side of the house with a few blooms still on it. ......Will your quince rebloom do you think? Did you plant any spring bulbs, such as tulips?..............Maryl

Yes Maryl, I will have those types of temps as well after today. Drops of temps will go back to ”normal” winter weather after another warm day with predicted strong storms today. In a way I will be glad to see cooler temps as these storms become rather scary. You certainly do outdo me on survivors with the begonia! All my begonias are long gone with earlier freezes.

No the quince will not rebloom. Although that picture does not show it, there are four large ones in a row there and are always so pretty in bloom. I rarely plant tulips-love them but they are short lived.

This warm weather is odd. I don't have anything blooming here. We had several hard freezes back in November, but the past two weeks have been unusually warm. It's a shame the quince is blooming out of time.

Debra I had those hard November freezes too but then this incredibly warm December has confused a lot of my plants!! My neighbor’s forsythia is in full bloom. I had roses blooming until last week.

I saw a couple daff clumps up pretty tall yesterday. Cold front coming in tonight. Right now tornado sightings here with heavy wind and rain. Scary so soon after recent touchdowns

My Camellias are blooming now in New Jersey.

Nancy: So sorry to hear about your weather. The timing, if there ever is a good time, is lousy. I pray that it will not develop into anything. Although I need the rest from gardening that winter brings, I don't like the rest of it. Stay safe please..............Maryl

Had some damage in town, even closer to me, but not nearly as bad as before. Tornado in the area, but I think this was from straight line winds. I was lucky again, no damage. Sure hope this was the last for a while!

Nancy, so glad you dodged another one. This is one reason I am ready for the cooler weather moving in. We now have snow predicted for tomorrow.

Margaritaville, your whole yard looks like green spring/summer!! When does your camellia normally bloom?

Our weather here is also like what all of you are posting about.We've had hard freezes but then the temps jump back up. But we too are in for a cold front this coming week with possible rain/snow mix. I like having the down-time from gardening.
