I need to see how it relates to the entry but my first thought is if you face it when you enter why not a great piece of art

I’m standing in the cubby now - so more part of the hall.

Art and/or a live plant with some height. (If it can get enough light.) You could even put an uplight behind the plant since you have an outlet there.

Love the idea of a tall plant, but do a small table if you don't have one anywhere else near your front door. I have one near my front door and at the bottom of my stairs. It's handy for stacking things up so that when you go upstairs you can take it all with you. Or as Andrea said, handy for having things to pick up or use on your way out the door. Maybe something round - you probably won't be able to find something that fits in the corner perfectly.

A great piece of artwork or a large plant might work well in that little nook area. Here are some visuals to aid you further:

Some great thoughts here. Since you have an outlet on that facing wall, great opportunity to anchor a small table lamp on a console table here that can illuminate artwork on a timer or smart plug that you control in-app. You could even consider a pin-up art light above your foal point as a canvas illuminator if you'd want to keep that table surface clear.

Just enough space here for something to make you smile since the functionality of coat storage is handled! Cheers :)
