Is Bertazzoni worth it??

Hello! I'm in the process of doing a complete kitchen remodel and I would love some opinions on Bertazzoni products. I have been looking into the 36" drop-in natural gas cooktop model PROF365CTXV combined with Bertazzoni's 36" vent hood model KCH36XV. What drew me to them is the price point and that they were manufactured in Italy. However when looking online I have not found many reviews of either of these appliances and before I go ahead and make a purchase I would like to hear any good and bad experiences anyone has had. Also, if anyone could recommend any other gas cooktops or range hoods I would be very interested in hearing about them! Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you want a high end range, that’s all show and no go. Double that budget. And then add in another full budget measure for the ventilation system that is required for such a range.

I have had a 48” Bertazzoni cooktop for four years, and have nothing but love for it. I don’t think you can beat the price, it’s sexy AF, and a dream to cook on. (Mine is actually the LP version. I cannot speak to the vent hood as mine is a different brand.)

While there are many bad reviews online, the vast majority of them are for the oven part of the range, which isn’t relevant if you’re getting a cooktop. Comments and links to threads about the range are similarly unhelpful.

@Hillside House - a thread with hundreds of negative comments benefits the OP even if she is getting a cooktop, not a range or oven. That is because it shows multiple years' long pattern of poor customer service and non-responsiveness from Bertazzoni. You have not had any problems with your cooktop, that is great news. But what about when you do? This forum is filled with comments from people who have not had any resolution from Bertazzoni on appliances they have spent so many thousands on.

Thank you everyone for your advice it is all very helpful ! There does seem to be so many instances where the customer service and having the appliances serviced was an issue unfortunately. The search continues for the ideal cooktop!

Hi Josi- You could put up another post asking for recommendations for high-end gas cooktops, and why that type is recommended.

I don't have the range but I have the hood. And this is my review: NO NO NO NO NO. And ironically, it is not because the fan is not good, and the hood is actually lovely. But the hood light SUCKS. It's 12 volt LED 1.5 watts, and that's the problem. It's dim as all get out, there is no upgrade available, although I think I might find a 3W on Amazon. But my advice is DO NOT buy this hood. Even finding one on Amazon is hard. My sis has a Best/Broan and it come with LED 5 watt and the lighting is the bomb!!
