Need help with dining/desk area

I’m needing advice on how to set up this area. I am selling the desk and was thinking about getting a small table and chairs, but I work from home and a larger desk would be more ideal. I also want to add some wall art to the wall. Can someone please guide me on what will look best?? TIA!!

Do you also intend to use this space to dine, or do you have another area in the house for that?

I think it's the style of the desk that throwing it off for me. I envision a more modern clean line desk or table. And longer that what you currently have.

Can you use a dining table as your desk? Maybe add a buffet cabinet to hold all your work stuff when you are using the room for dining.

The light is centered on the door? No way for a dining table in that space. Why do you think it was meant to be more than an entrance? The desk is too small. Looks like it belongs in a child's room.
