I love these blue pendants. Please help me find them. They’re from this blog in the UK.

Those are beautiful. If you haven't already, I'd reach out to the blog and ask them where they were sourced.

If you're looking for blue glass globes but it doesn't need to be those specific fixtures, you might want to check Bicycle Glass. I ordered two different light fixtures (both with blue hand-blown globes) from them recently and they're stunning.

So here’s the deal… I found pendant lights for the island that are really unique and I like a lot, but they have been hard to coordinate with. Previously I had matching lights in my kitchen - all from the same Kitchler collection. I didn’t want matchy lights again, and for the most part, I am really good about coordinating things. I have a lot of green in my kitchen, but in the rest of my decor I’m really leaning into blues. I was hoping that I could introduce something in blue over the sink. It seems I can’t find just the right light that will compliment, but not clash with these pendant lights. I’m leaving the option of flipping this around and putting one of those cement pendants over the sink and finding two new ones for the island, but not just yet. I also feel like getting a third one would be too many. Unfortunately I can’t find a similar cement fixture to coordinate either. I also feel like finding something plain is a bit of a defeat. I don’t need that fixture at the moment, as my recessed and under cabinet lighting give me plenty to work with, but I’m becoming discouraged by my lack of success. Another element to the drama is that when I do find something I like, it isn’t available in a black finish that I prefer. Maybe I’m over analyzing - nevermind, of course I am. I know this is a dilemma we all warn each other about, yet here I am.

Here is the island light that I’m trying to coordinate with. And, despite this fixture, I don’t want anything too modern or industrial.

Oh my gosh! Thank you! There are other similar lights, but that little flourish makes it just a little more special.

The glass are spectacular!! I am not a fan of the white even with the fancy scroll work inside the shade. Too industrial.

I really like the white concrete pendant light. What do you think of these to go with it?

    https://www.tudoandco.com/collections/concrete-look/products/coburg-concrete-pendant-light

Do you think it would be too much of the same texture and style?

I like these, too … the juxtaposition of concrete with this much ’softer’ feel. These are so lovely:

Of course the pretty blue pendants up there would accomplish that, too.

As a sidenote, I’m enjoying looking through that site — loving the unique styles.

Jinx, I’ve seen those and like the glass lights. The other lights all use grey cement, not the white plaster-like finish of mine. When I do find one, they are all too modern. I may replace those pendants. It would be easier to coordinate those three lights at the same time like I should have in the first place. I can repurpose them, if I need to. Just not ready. Still hoping.

Yeah, they have very unique lights. Great customer service and fast delivery. I’ve since seen most of those lights pop up elsewhere too. Many on Etsy. But, it’s the only place I’ve seen mine so far.

You may want to try looking at vintage lighting on eBay…I did find this it is so beautiful and unique thought I would share.

I love it too, but I don’t have the ceiling height for it 🙁

Thanks HIWE, I’ve seen his shop many times before, but don’t recall coming across those globes before. I’m glad to at least have them sourced now. He’s willing to do an individual one for me for $259, or $149 w/o the flower, lol. 🤨 $110 for a flower? Whatever. It’s a tad on the higher side of what I’ve looked at, but not a budget buster. Now I’m kind of wanting them over the island instead. I’m very indecisive sometimes. Thank goodness this is all just jewelry in the kitchen and the rest is done.

Kitchen’s currently a mess, so I will share an older photo. I think you’ve all seen it before. Unfortunately there are some who think I’ve asked for their critique on it. I’ll share some features in adjacent rooms too. We’ve since finished the tile and hood and other details. I haven’t committed to anything for the light over the sink, in fact I may even have another recessed light put in there. We will see.

That’s a great-looking kitchen. I LOVE that green! What is that wonderful color?

You have a fantastic sense of style!

The color is called mesmerize (SW, I think) the daytime color is my favorite. its a more sagey green. Electric lights add yellow and more intensity, per usual.

I didn’t see the last picture before — lazy kitties. :D

Neighbor’s cat hung out here today. Hung out meaning he ate, slept, got belly rubs.

(Sorry to go O/T. But, cats. You know.)

    So fun!
Ok yes blue Globes over the island….would you consider just painting the trim on trim not the entire window…around the window black? It would direct your attention to the new island lights..and not be distracted by the stained trim…if you add a runner in the kitchen do bold black and white let the blue globes be the star….

But then what over the sink? I have both navy and black & white Buffalo check runners. I also bought one of the new Jonathan Adler runners from ruggable. The one with the snakes on it. I love quirky accents.

My parents have 3 of the Pomfret pendants linked further up, over their island and they are really nice. They have the clear glass version.

Are you worried that the blue glass globes might affect the color of your cabinets?

I like the idea of recessed light over sink no pendant..

P.S. Looks like they have matching sconces too!!

Oh Kelly, I’m sure too. But that price stings a little more than the Etsy one.

Blueberry, no, not at all. I’m just trying to add a little more color to the kitchen that is a lot of green right now.

Full disclosure, the cabinet color was an evolution and it was not entirely borne out of “style” lol. I live near Minneapolis and we see shades of grey, brown and white half the year. We have a wooded lot behind our mainly north facing kitchen that makes it naturally pretty dark, especially when the leaves are on the trees. I love soapstone and knew I wanted to use it. I also love deep green and navy kitchens I’ve been seeing. I also love those rustic old world pines and oaks we see in vintage pieces. I originally thought about doing wood with a bluestone floor, but our joists just have a little too much bounce to do stone or tile without firming them up more, so I went with wood floors instead. I don’t like wood cabinets on wood floors very much, especially without contrast, so painted cabinets were going to happen. Plus they are easier on the budget. Because of our dark setting and the soapstone, I couldn’t do those deep tones. I like blue a little better, but all I could see were those unfortunate country blues from the 80s. I guess that decade gave me a little ptsd, haha! So we looked a long time at different styles and inspiration photos, and I kept coming back to one. It was a leap of faith. I also was afraid that a more muted sage would read as mucky grey in our low light, so in photos the color we chose reads more intense than it does most of the time in person. The hood I wanted was a hand-crafted blackened zinc hood, but that cost just doesn’t make sense in our modest home. So the wood one was another compromise. The tile was also an agonizing dilemma for me. I knew I needed to bring back some brightness, but I didn’t want white subway tile in there. I already have it in two bathrooms. I wanted to bring in a more vintage element so I looked at thousands of tiles, including the talevera tiles Jan suggested, and hand painted delft tiles. But I needed glossy white, so I finally came across these. They were dirt cheap crap from HD so I dug endlessly online for something else that was like it, but better. I found some hand painted majolica tiles that these were copies of, but they’re discontinued. I ended up with the tiles from Home Depot, haha! If my house was in a higher tax bracket it would make more sense to do all those luxury finishes, but in the end I needed to balance our home value and my budget and allow myself a few personal upgrades like my faucet. That sucker is worth every red cent I paid. I paid about half of retail, but it was still a splurge, relatively. Here are some of my inspiration photos.

I love the pendents you picked. They would actually fit right in my kitchen, if I had a place that needed pendents. I have seen them before on Pinterest, I am pretty sure.

@cat_ky, which pendants - the blue glass, or the cement ones I have hanging over the island?

OT question - does this site no longer have direct messages?

I think it does, who you’re trying to message may have theirs turned off. (Mine are off.)

Brace yourself. Those lights are $1600 each.

@Therese N Did you decide to order the blue pendant light(s)?

Not yet, but now I’m debating whether to replace my cement lights with these or go back to shopping for the sink light. These pendants are definitely at the top of my list! I’m taking my time since nothing is urgent. Thanks for asking. I’ll let all of you see whatever I put up, when it happens.
