Help me decide on bathroom shelves.

We recently remodeled our bathroom, and I'm regretting the half wall of tile behind the toilet and the use of metal trim with it. It seems very commercial and squared off. I need something to draw attention away from it and to help fill the blank wall. Initially, I wanted to put a piece of art there, but I haven't found anything that I like. So, now I'm leaning towards shelves. Now the dilemma of which shelves--metal shelves that match the fixtures, simple white shelves, other ideas?

Hi. Question- are the shelves by the shower open to view? if so, I don't favor more shelving. I like canvas-type material for a bathroom, not expensive, and it's easy to wipe clean.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, the shelving is open. when you say "canvas", are you referring to canvas art?

A place to have a bit of fun - if you find a piece you like, repeat a color in it with one shelf under it-- say a yellow shelf. Or just yellow tissue box.

IMO stick with finding a piece of art . I have great luck on art.com BTW thet metal trim piece is exactly what should have been used but IMO the tile up the wall there was a bad choice but now that it is there art you already have shelving.
