I don't suppose you or anyone needs extra lighting to "find their way there." What about mostly the motion-sensor type?

A pair of decent sized lanterns could look nice too. The over the door light also a good ides. What a cute cabin I think the ”pop” will be in the style you choose.

Thanks everyone! It was an old boathouse so something a bit nautical/coastal would be nice.

However this spot is in a dark forested area and we really need to light it up well (there are bears!) I'm not sure a barn light would be bright enough.

I don't love the look of the motion sensor flood lights, but that would be the most practical solution. Thoughts?

No comment on the shed lights, but we used a solar powered spot light with a motion sensor and put it in the tree, it worked great.

My place is rural and if I had a motion sensor it would constantly go off. So much wildlife. Be sure to get one that lights the ground and not the sky, ‘dark sky’ compliant lights. Better for nocturnal animals.

That fixture from Lowes will be rusted and rotted by next winter lol.
