why do you need a hutch or buffet? I would not move windows to add a piece of furniture you don't really need, especially in an open floor plan.

With such an open floor plan, I would just leave the windows ( especially because of the statement from outside the house ) and move the chandelier to a different location for thee placement of the table.

Before doing that, I would suggest putting a table there ( or saw horses and a piece of plywood ) and move it around to see where you like it best.

I agree the chandelier seems to be in the wrong spot as IMO the dining table would run with the long windows. If you really need storage you could think on a built in bench

Thank you for your responses. I guess I not put a sideboard, etc on the side wall and possibly a round table and chairs instead of a long table and still center it between the windows.

Without knowing dimensions, it looks like there is a lot of room there to have a round table and some sort of sideboard...

i would put a long table, I would move the light fixture to the center of the back wall of windows.

This is not really a symmetrical plan INside, so I would just make sure you know where the table is going and get the chandelier properly placed over the table and not worry about centering things on the windows.

I would also probably use a close-to-the-ceiling fixture in front of the french doors to place emphasis on the chandelier over the dining table, rather than competing with it.

I would have just put another recessed light above the french doors on its own switch.

Agree with @RL Relocation LLC - the two hanging lights in that space is too much & too busy.

A floor plan would be helpful.
