Maybe get a mirrored cabinet over the sink to hide even more stuff. Or edit. Do you really use all that stuff?

    mirror cabinet $150
is the tp holder really on the far side of the vanity? On the wall to the left of the sink?

Olychick the toilet paper holder is to the left of the toilet (as your are facing the toilet). I think what we are seeing on the wall by the sink is a hand towel bar that they’ve hung toilet paper on for some reason

As others have mentioned, edit the toiletries-perhaps organize a space for each person (maybe two users' stuff in the vanity and two inside a medicine cabinet either over the sink and/or a cabinet over the toilet). For my area, that kind of electrical plug on the wall is not to code near a sink, so that caught my eye as far as safety particularly if children use this bath. A lighting fixture can be chosen once you select the medicine cabinet.

I agree with all the comments. Will add if there is a side wall where a cabinet can be installed might be a better idea than over the toilet where things can fall into the toilet especially if lid is left up.

Would suggest adding storage cabinets where possible to contain the toiletries (as others have suggested). For a small room in general it is better to have a more monochromatic color scheme to visually enlarge the space and give it a calmer and more serene look. Good luck!

A vanity with storage, a new medicine cabinet (recessed if possible) with storage and another small wall cabinet may contain most of these items. But editing your toiletries is key to getting a small bathroom under control. There are a ton of lovely vanities you can start with. Also look at medicine cabinets. Your budget will be a key factor.
As @Norwood Architects said, a one color scheme always works best in small places.

If you have to keep the same vanity, look at under sink storage solutions at Ikea, Target and The Container Store so you are maximizing use of the space. If some of the stuff in the room isn't used every day, see if you can find somewhere else to put it.

I don't see anything wrong with the color of the walls, but I don't know what color your floors or tub surround are.

How many people use this bathroom?

Want an update? Here are my suggestions...

Paint, replace faucet and other hardware for black (your vanity light is black but should be centered with your vanity), replace vanity knobs for black. A Peel & Stick wallpaper can be installed on the back wall for an accent. Nice inexpensive decorative accessories can be found at places such as HomeSense, Amazon, Target, Ikea, etc.

You can get a mirrored medicine chest for over the sink, and have it properly hung.

And for over the toilet, purchase an upper kitchen cabinet at a store like Home Depot or Lowes and have it properly hung by a handyman with a cleat attached to studs.

Inside the cabinet use the clever accessories to increase kitchen storage that you can find on Amazon and even the Dollar Store like wire shelves that essentially double the storage per shelf.

Look online for vlogs about small space and small apartment organization.

If this is a rental apartment you can take that kitchen cabinet with you when you go.

For the medicine cabinet, if this is a rental, please purchase on that does not have to be recessed into the wall so you are not cutting into the wall, and please purchase one as large as your space allows so you can maximize the storage.

I think a kitchen type cabinet would be too deep for above the toilet...

Why do you say that? How is 12 inches too deep?

The standard depth for an above toilet cabinet (either wall mounted or on legs) is 8 to 10 inches deep at the most.

    So what?

If the 12 inch deep cabinet is mounted on the wall above where one would sit, there is no problem of depth.

No one is going to hit their head.

In this bathroom, storage is a priority, and a kitchen upper will provide closed storage which will give the bathroom a clean uncluttered look, as well as maximal storage space.

It's just not considered a safe option. With the doors on it's deeper than 12 inches. I suggest you research the subject.

I recently renovated 2 small bathrooms with Bertch sage green vanities and Minka Lavery pivot mirrors. Our carpenter and plumber were quite impressed how well the vanities were made. I love the pivot mirrors; great quality too. The vanities offered adequate storage. I chose quartz remnants from a stone yard. Our flooring is Energie Ker Italian porcelain woodlook tile which is strong and highly water resistant.

Getting drawers in the vanity, a shallow storage cabinet over the toilet (definitely not 12” deep), would be key. I’ve also specified Bertch cabinets and they are a decent quality and they have quite a few finishes to choose from. That sage green that kculbers posted would look nice with your floors.

    @lisedv-

With the doors on it is exactly 12 inches deep, and approximately one cm more after installation.

    I have "researched" it.

It is apparent that you haven't.

There is nothing unsafe about it.

Please present data regarding lack of safety, otherwise, it will be assumed to be unfounded nonsense.

It's ok, you're entitled to have your opinion, and I to have mine, and I have researched it.
