I am a fabricator. Both are major OEM's that produce a quality product. In most cases the Caesarstone will be some to much cheaper than the Cambria. decide the look you like and then shop the various suppliers.

I have seen reviews saying Caesarstone chips Thoughts on chipping?

Why is Caesarstone cheaper? Thank you!

Caesarstone chips no more or less than any other quality engineered stone. The edge profile is the major determinant of how "chippy" a quartz countertop is. More rounded edge profile = less chippy. Caesarstone is less expensive because Cambria has exclusive service areas and they also have to cover the costs of their extensive marketing efforts.

The concern I have seen mentioned in reviews is not so much the edge of the Quartz chipping but the counter itself One example was a plastic vitamin container beong dropped on the coint and it chipped is there different grades/leavels of Ceasarstone? i am looking at getting Frosty Carrina (white) Ceasaerstone installed

That's quartz for you, a big chance for chips. My daughter's bathroom vanity arrived with a quartz counter in perfect shape. By the time it got installed 2 months later, it already had a small chip...no one knows what happened.

"That's quartz for you, a big chance for chips."

This is myth. Engineered stone is 33% plastic, making it much stronger than natural stone. Certain natural stones are very chip-prone. Ever seen any mesh laminated to the back of an estone slab? Yeah, me neither.

Chipping in any product is more a result of edge profile selection than any other factor.

Joseph, there are multiple comments here regarding chipping of quartz...I wasn't comparing to a natural stone.

My concern with Cambria is the “pooling” of blobs of color. This happened to two friends of mine. Cambria said it was fine.

I have Silestone quartz, I dropped a heavy stoneware bowl on it the first week it was installed. There was an actual spark!

The only thing I see is a teeny tiny dot.

    lucky:

Correlation is not causation. A rise in ice cream sales and a rise in drownings in summmer in Michigan are positively correlated, however, eating ice cream does not cause drowning.

Multiple comments on estone chipping on this forum does not mean estone is more chippy than natural stone, it means more people have commented.

Oh, the know-it-all people are such a joy :) So many "pros" push their views...opinions so hard. This site is quite boring now.

As has been stated, select the look that you like and go with it.
