You have the perfect wall to do some type of wall decor.

either a shiplap, or wallpaper, or paint treatment, or millwork. something! A little bit of color would go a long way.

some colorful art/decor items? maybe paint the inside of the cab this blue color if doing blue art?

try painting the inside of the console a nice contrasting color, and accent it w/other decor pieces. (example, if you did a dark color like black on the inside, you could accent w/white pots, milk glass or lighter color items)

Yes, Navy would be nice... a tall lean mirror from the tabletop high to fill the space.

if it's a entrance landing spot. how about a large bowl for keys/phone etc. ... I personally would cover the glass probably paint over for a closed look. Don't need to show off your storage to guests.
