We need to see the whole room; Can the TV go on the wall opposite the sofa? It is high over the FP and someone sitting on sofa has to sit sideways to see it.

Does the room have windows and which wall are they located on? Are there any preferences we should consider regarding function - like need more light, need more seating?

Move the tv elsewhere. Then decorate.

Unless that is a real fireplace I would get rid of it. However, if you love it that is a different story. I never have liked the look of a tv over a fireplace. There are some that are done well but generally it the tv cancels out the beauty of the fp.

Definitely need more photos of the space.

There are 3 large bay windows and where I am standing is the entrance to the home. It is not a working fireplace but I don’t think I would want to remove it

We also have an L shaped sectional couch to replace the two coming soon. Probably butchering design but honestly was just trying to make it a little better. Maybe get some more lighting in this space. I don’t have a lot of money to hire people to do major changes. I apologize for wasting everyone’s time. Thank you.

^^^^^ Little Bug is right. So, looks like TV has to stay over FP. Center the rug in the room. Looks like you won't need to decorate on the sides of the FP. Move the lamp to the other side. Get an end table with a lamp for that corner and get a comfortable chair for the corner with floor lamp. When the new sectional arrives re-hang the art centered on it and about 5" above it and closer together. Look on FB Marketplace and/or local consignment shops for tables & lamps at reasonable prices. Target also has great furniture for good prices.
