Sherrygirl, that Indian Giver has been on my wishlist for years. I saw it in a fellow garden-webber's garden, and was smitten immediately (almost swooned there too lol). But it's always so darn expensive so it always gets crossed off the list. One of these days I'll bite the bullet and open the wallet lol.

I don't dare go near any catalogs in my current state of mind. Waaayyyy too dangerous....

Dee, I finally caved this year and bought an Indian Giver. Waaaay too expensive but I’ve wanted one for years so it was an early birthday present to myself. I think it will be worth it as long as it isn’t red in my yard

Good for you oursteelers!! I should just think of it that way - a Christmas or birthday present to myself. I'm guessing it didn't bloom yet for you - be sure to post pictures next year. If for no other reason than to nudge me to buy it haha!

Indian Giver shouldnt be expensive. I buy plants from Oak Hill Daylilies in Athens, Illinois. I have bought daylilies from them several times over the years, great prices, great stock and selection plus great customer service. Oak Hill has two fans of Indian Giver for about $12 right now. in my book thats pretty reasonable.

Seems I lack purple. So here’s my window box with purple oxalis and purple heart tradescantia. Technically annuals, but I keep them over winter, so perennial for me.

Clematis 'Joe Zary', stunning and blooms the ENTIRE summer, this wonderful plant developed by a friend of mine in Saskatchewan has made its way around the world.

Thank you FrozeBudd! That Clematis is wonderful. I will keep my eyes open for it!

Peren.all, 'Joe Zary' is very adaptable, above it's grown at the base of birch tree and receives substantial shade, thrives as well in full sun, good soil and moisture will ensure continuous flowering.
