Need Primary bathroom remodeling ideas?

We are planning to remodel our primary bath and am in need of some ideas. The room measures 11’ x 14’. This is excluding the bayed window area. A definite most is the carpet being pulled as well as replacing the bedroom carpet with the 2 1/4” oak flooring that already exists in the home. Considering a free standing tub. Due to the bay window roofline structure, doubting the smass 36” x 48” shower can be changed. Or can it? The other side of the slider is the walk in. I love tile but worry about maintenance. Quartz or granite countertops? We will be putting light colored granite in the kitchen. Prefer grays and whites. Some blue. Ideas?

I also redid my master bath last year and have a bay window. There was an enormous Jacuzzi tub with a tile surround in the bay. We replaced it with a freestanding tub which looks much better because the visual weight is less. It's not an overwhelming presence in the room anymore. We will rarely use it but it is sculpturally attractive. As a conseqence we were able to enlarge the shower. The shower is now glass on two sides. I love the open feel of it and with the new shower head (Kohler) I never want to get out of it. :-)

Yeah, very hard to wrap my mind around all the bays and orientations. Seems like wasted space, but not sure how to rearrange.

I have included the architectural plans and my hand drawn ones.. The hand drawn ones show the location of the existing

My original bathroom layout was almost identical in layout, except the doors were reversed (closet to bedroom). And the window was not a bump out, just a garden window. Mine was probably smaller.

i used to have a large platform type 60" tub and replaced it with a freestanding that is "66. I love my new tub - hated the old one. The tiled platform made it difficult (and dangerous) tot get in/out. With the new tub, I can grip the edge and feels very secure. Eliminating the tile made it less costly too. I left room to use a OCedar mop to clean around it. My tub has a ledge on the drain end that I can set my soap on. It could have been a tub mount filler.

This assumes you actually use the tub. If you don't, IDK. Not sue that space could be used for anything else without making structural changes.

Maybe a smaller tub would allow you to extend the shower length?

I did a pocket door to the bedroom (soft close/open with a pull style handle (no lock). I eliminated the close door opening and opened to the bedroom instead. I also bumped back my toilet into the adjoining closet and used a wall mounted toilet to allow space for a wider shower. I put a wall between the vanity and toilet to create an alcove for a bit of privacy.

ETA:. I had carpet in part of the old bathroom too!

Like the possibility of a larger shower due to a smaller tub. Also, the privacy wall next to the toilet. We have 11 foot ceilings in the bedroom so the door is still a problem.
