Any stool or chair is fine. If you want it to move out felt bottoms on the legs. If you want to to help struck put rubber feet on.

These don't have feet and can roll away for easy cleaning of the floor at the bar/island.

IMO any wheels are a bad I always use swivel stools they do not need to be moved to use and really save your floors . When you need to clean the floor easy to just move .

Felt pads on the bottom of any stool will work. Avoid wheels. If you want a chair or stools with wheels, put a chair mat underneath with a wood-safe rug pad beneath that.

Does anyone have any recommendations for felt pads? Also, any recommendations for swivel stools? I'll buy one to try it out and put felt on the bottom. Thanks.

Felt pads didn’t stay long on my stools. We have pine flooring. Finally installed clear “rubber boots” on leg bottoms. The felt is permanently attached to bottom of the boots. They have lasted 3 years and still in excellent condition. Available at flooring stores or online.

If you have kids swivel stools will likely be abused.
