Sherry, I have been absent from posting so far due to a quite busy schedule. All my schools that use me as a consultant are back in session (implementing extensive covid safety precautions) and have been going full speed ahead. While I pop on here whenever possible I simply have no time to post regularly! But that does not mean I don’t admire everyone’s beauties!!!

Happy Apache is always so striking. And I can emphasize with you on Here Lies Butch-slow to multiply here as well but blooms can be stunning when perfect. Great photo of Happy Happy!! Your quotes are worth the time of checking in!!

I agree that Happy Apache is a striking daylily. It's too bad it doesn't increase well. I like the edge on Hemstitched too. Debra, you always have the prettiest pinks. I love Hush Little Baby.

Happy Place is the color combination we love so much.

Heavenly Angel Kisses is one of Jamie Gossard's small diploids. This picture is not the best. This one was potted and sitting under the crab tree.

Heavenly Be My Valentine is one of my favorites. It's an offspring of Tet. North Wind Dancer.

Heavenly Christmas Cactus grows well in our garden.

Heavenly Lovers' Lane is a big flower.

Heavenly Snow Flake has taken its time getting established.

Heavenly Start Your Engines was a bonus plant, It's supposed to be a late bloomer, but I'm not sure about that.

Heavenly United We Stand was planted the fall before last season. It will be nice to see it at clump strength.

I have never gotten Heavenly Pink Fang to set seeds. It's a small plant with smallish flowers.

As you can tell by all these Heavenly daylilies, we grow a lot of Gossards.

Hell on Heels is a fabulous plant in our garden. It blooms rather late (registered ML).

Horns and Thorns has done relatively well for a southern bred daylily. It never has the height or bud count that it is registered with, but it comes up and blooms every year.

Horsing Around was in the bed that got smashed with the pine tree fell. It wasn't smashed but we moved it and it has taken awhile for it to get back to its former glory.

Debra, I also like your pinks! High Water Mark caught my attention today!

Nancy, I was so happy to see all of those Heavenly daylilies you have. Upgrade was my first Gossard daylily. It did so well I have added a few more and they all seem to be promising in their short time here. It’s great to hear they do well for you.

If I manage to find more room here I am going to look for Heavenly Angel Kisses, what a beauty!

The saturated red color draws my attention plus it's perky stiff petals (if they are actually that in person)..........Nan: Hey Soul Sister is unique isn't it. My only contribution to the H's is Selman's Honky Tonk Barbie. A solid, hardy grower, that always repeats (not common on most others) and is a better then average bloomer. She's become one of my back bone plants in my small collection:

Here Lies Butch and Honky Tonk Barbie are fun and I like Happy Apache, Hey Soul Sister, Hoopla and I'd make some room for Heavenly Snow White but my favorite is High Water Mark.

Well both of mine are already pictured but can I get a participation trophy (never mind, I think those are weird). Much like Honey Crunch Cupcake.

I wouldn't call the blooms on my Heavenly Pink Fang small or maybe I'm just not growing enough really large ones. Nor does it seem as pink as the other ones pictured here. It is really short which is why I planted it so close to the sidewalk. It does rebloom for me here and is a pretty prolific bloomer for such a little plant.

Heavenly Pink Fang looks quite different in each of the three photos here. But I like the way it looks in all of your gardens.

Nan - I always like your photos of Hey Soul Sister. I had Heavenly Lovers Lane on my short wish list. Your photo looks so much different in color than Gossard's. What color would you say it really is? Do you think it would be a good one to cross with UF's?

Maryl - What a pretty picture of Honky Tonk Barbie! When I first received mine it had hardly any root system. It did better in the second year, and I'm hoping it will be full recovered this next season. Mine has yet to rebloom, although I know you said it reliably reblooms for you. Holly Dancer looks like that most of the time. It hasn't bloomed for a couple of years because of grub damage. It is a sunfast red.

Steve and Sherry - High Water Mark is a good performer for me. Sherry mentioned it being pink, but it's registered as lilac, and I would call it lavender.

David - I'm always drawn the patterns on Handwriting on the Wall and have considered adding it many times. But I always stop when I see the height is only 24 inches. How does it perform for you, and have you done any hybridizing with it?

HOTW performs well for me, but it is 24 to 26 inches tall. To be honest, it never crossed my mind (pun fully intended) to hybridize with it. Patterned tets have not been one of my goals, yet I do have several of them.

Maryl, Hey Soul Sister is not a color changer (in my opinion), but is weather dependent. I am not sure which weather conditions cause it to have the smoky look as opposed to the solid look. As for true color changers, I am not really a fan. We grow Pigment of Imagination but by the time I see it in the morning, it has already begun changing. I think the color changers are ugly. Hopefully some pretty ones eventually come along.

Debra, I would say the color on my picture of Heavenly Lovers' Lane is closer to the true color than Gossard's picture on the database. I haven't tried to set seed on it, but if I were trying for UF's, I sure would give it a try. It looks like it's vigrous plant and it has a large bloom.

Happy Returns is too ordinary for collectors but it is a lovely clear yellow. It did not have a great year like so many others, especially the early bloomers. Just a bad weather year.
