Building a Home Flooring Basements

Builders grade floor for basement

Hi. My basement was recently flooded and now i need to repair the damages. To replace the floors I was looking at Shaw Bargello plus LVP. i was told that its builder grade. What does that mean? and is it any good? My price range is $5 - $6 per sq. Could i get better flooring? Any recommendations.

Builder grade means that it is low cost, and therefore not the greatest quality.

Builder grade doesn't necessarily mean the product is bad. It just means that there is a higher quality version available, always for more money.

I am not familiar with your specific choice, so hopefully one of the experts will be along soon to comment on that.

Water issues? I would choose tile.

I see nothing wrong with it looking at the spec. Not sure if your budget is installed or product only. We found LVP in the $3.50 to $4.00 material price to be fine. Just installed some in two bathrooms.
