Dyna Gro's Foliage Pro 9-3-6. The fertilizer of choice for container gardening advocates but works equally well on all other plantings.

Depending on location, it is sold at retail nurseries and garden centers but also available online.

when i did seedlings .. mostly hosta of course ... i had a 3 one gallon milk jugs of VERY DILUTED water sol fert .... if it was 10% i wouldnt be surprised .. and i used it for every watering ...

rather than using a prescribed amount god knows when ... surely not every watering ... for fear of fert/salt build up with tiny babes ...

i know youve done this for years .... so im sure you have a system down pat .... but for others ... how often do you up pot.. etc .... do you start in flats.. etc ...

the reason i ask .... is that you dont accumulate fert salts if you keep changing the media ... and also.. you dont ever use up the media ... since its changed often ...

too much fert can be worse than too little ...

btw: im still working off the 5 pound water sol dad bought at kmart about 50 years ago ... im not one for thinking some new fancy marketed fert does anything special .... and when you are using it at 10% .... what difference does it make anyway .... proper light levels is probably just as.. if not more important than steroids ....

and yeah.. i know i danced right around the urea premise ... artfully i think .. lol ...
