Removing yellow from veneer

I have a 1950s-1960s bedroom set that has yellowed, (and was in a home heated by coal) that is horribly yellow. I have literally tried everything to take the yellow out including harsh smoke restore cleaners, baking soda, vinegar, peroxide, bleach. Some of which I let set for days. Acetone, magic eraser etc. I assume now that this cant be restored to its natural color (it says seashell on the back of the dresser.) Is there anything that can be done? Can veneer be stained? I believe that I will just paint it if not. The last pic is what it is supposed to look like I think, or close anyway.

Thanks!
