Consumer Reports has ratings of air purifiers (consumerreports.org/join - $10/month - digital). Use the 'More Filters' drop-down to select your room size (square feet) and the 'Rated best for' drop-down to re-sort the ratings. (The ratings include four Dyson products but all did poorly.)

Alan if you want to look at Consumer Reports but don't want to pay for it, I think most libraries have subscriptions. I can access the issues/info online - so check with your local library.

I have this one for my bedroom. It‘s Medify. Small and quiet, and there’s a setting to turn the light off.

What are you goals? What do you want it to accomplish? What air quality problems are you currently facing?

IQAir are generally considered the best but can be pricey.

Winix is probably next and more affordable if you don't need the capabilities of IQAir units.

And FWIW, you can also make a Comparetto cube fairly inexpensively and it will work as well or better than most consumer air purifiers on the market.

Why would you pay $10, even for a month, to view one article when your tax supported library has a subscription for you to use? (if your library has it).

I have found Consumer Reports to be largely worthless now. I think they once had good people and did good reviews but that hasn't seemed the case for 10-20 years.

2. Did you read the linked review of air fresheners? What is your objection to the report?
3. What was the last product for which you read a CR review for serious decision-making and when?
4. What are the differences between the previous "good people" and the current CR staff?
