Kyra, you Ilagiorum is amazing! Do you keep it in a high humidity environment? If that plant had something to climb on, like a bark pole or something similar, I'm sure it would grow like a weed and triple in size in no time! Best of luck with them. Stay well my friend....

This cutting has been in my "cookie jar" as I call it for months. I open it about once a week and let it stay open for a few hours, then I mist it and close it back up again. It's one of those airtight containers. It's big, like 10" tall. I got two of them at a thrift store.

I have the mother plant under the grow light nearby but no extra humidity and it doesn't grow those wild aerial roots. So I guess it is induced by high humidity.

I think they are for storing flour and sugar or something. One of the ones I have lost its handle. But that's fine for what I use it for: plants! Everything at the thrift store has plant-potential! :-)

I also just got this cupcake carrier that I'm sure is also going to be great for starts. It's like this. I paid $2 at the thrift store!

All of this requires a great deal of patience. There were times I honestly thought these were going to do nothing. I don't even know how long it's been, maybe a year!
