Paula, the hot rod and the cordless drill are too funny! My husband pointed out to me that the hot rod was not botched paint job, but a commentary on the Ford Pinto disaster of the exploding fuel tank.

Queen of the Seas - Still young hoping for a jump in it this year. The tree behind it fell down in the fall, which might change what grows in this garden. I will see what does Ok and what needs to move.

Oh, I almost missed this one since, frankly, the letter Q is not a letter I think about often. Queen of the Seas keeps doing its subtle, but consistent, blue-green thing under my Rosa rugosa.

Tsugajunkie, the Hydrangea quercifolia is one of my favorite shrubs. They play well in gardens and love shade and grow to fill any tiny area you can find.

Paula, Think I'll trim my mustache a little :). The drill reminds me of my army days. I used one to polish my brass insignia.

Queen Josephine always reminds me of 'Josephine' that was a long time poster here, miss her and her positive comments and beautiful hostas.

Paula, I had to ask my husband about the car photo. He explained it to me. He loved the cordless tool. He laughed and said his father had one! He wished he had kept it. Nicholsworth, your husband was smart enough to keep it!

I have struggled with Queen of the Seas. Here it is. I see brown at the tips. Hmmm must not water enough or something. I'm rather thinking that my peat based potting mix has perhaps dried out too much in the winter and is not rehydrating in the spring.

I forgot I had a "Q" hosta, so I thought about what I could post instead (because Paula said we could!). But now since I have a "Q" hosta, I decided to post something else anyways!

Every year there is an exhibition/festival in Toronto (except during covid), and I try to go each year. One year I went with my daughter and in one of the buildings there was a display of pictures from the National Geographic magazine. Each picture was large and had an explanation of what the photo about and why the photographer took it. It was so interesting, and there were so many pictures! I knew my daughter wouldn't have the patience to wait until I looked at all of them, so I quickly took photos with my phone of some of them. I still have the photos and each are very special, and I am still amazed each time I look at them. Wish I had taken photos of all the pictures! Here is one of them relating to the environment and nature:

Sherry..I've used bird poop..ash seeds..dirt..weeds..tears..holes.. frost damage..dried leaves..as a reason not to take a pic..I'm hoping to speed clean and shoot away in 2022..

we should monitor each other and ask "did you take any pictures today?"..😂😂😂

newhostalady..we have a spade that was my husband's grandfather's..I love it..perfect size and weight..I've told my husband to use a different tool when the job seemed too heavy for this old tool..he's reasonable and gets a different tool..we have a running joke that if we get a divorce I'm keeping the spade..😂
