Do you need a mirror in the bedroom? Can you duplicate the boxes you already have? I'd upgrade the light in that sconce to be less yellow and more like natural light. A 3500-4000K LED would do the trick. How about a family portrait above on the chest of drawers. With all the digital ways of telling time, I don't think a clock would be helpful to me. My German friends were a cosleeping family of five and they had two queen mattresses on the floor, but the kids were small at that time. You might need more sleeping surface as they grow.

thanks for the suggestions! we don’t need a mirror because one of our built in closets has a full length one already in one of the doors. yes i can buy more of those shelves. how many should i get you think and how to arrange? we have a lot of children’s books so actually more of those would be helpful.

I think two more groupings like the trio one on the right would do nicely. Measure and tape out some ways of arranging them with blue painter's tape before you buy.
