As to nightstand stain or color - do you have rug, art, curtains to show us?

not yet. so I guess just looking for something to go with the wood that lightens the set up a bit. White? whitewashed? A different brown?

I saw these from West Elm. I think they would look great with your bed.

You could go with a white painted nightstand too. Though it'd be a stark contrast with the dark wood. You'd probably want a dark colored lamp on top to help ground it.
