i dont have personal experience with the variety, but it sounds fairly similar to sugar cane in the descriptions i can find online. i grow sugarcane and it is exceptional. just stay away from Li in my opinion. One consideration would be whether Black Sea is self-fertile, as Sugarcane is only partially so, and did not fruit well until i had other varieties flowering nearby.
