Can you show the wall of windows?

Can you add wainscoting around the whole room? Then do top half wallpaper...

Otherwise I’d do all 3 walls. I assume that is a sample on the walls. LOVELY! but it’s pretty busy. If you do not do the wainscoting I’d do a softer paper.
But I truly love it. Maybe I’m a smaller space? Or smaller doses (like the top half of the wall...)

And I like the idea of adding wainscoting on the other 2 walls- but it might be tricky on the wall in this 3rd pic since there’s already so much going on

In the 1st picture you would have full height wallpaper, 2nd picture half height to the wainscot but around the cabinet and 3rd picture full height but under a short door and around a full door makes no sense to me. Take a picture of the entire room in one shot so we can see all the walls. Personally, I would pick that dusky blue from the wallpaper and paint rather than wallpaper

Is this an antique home? Or an antique replica? I note the old hinges and odd sized doors. At any rate, it’s a beautiful room and I personally would not wallpaper. That’s quite a bold paper, I do like it, (and I don’t know if it is period correct for the home) but I think it would detract from the architecture. Just my non-pro 2 cents.

Thanks! Yes it’s an old farmhouse. 1700s originally with additions. The wallpaper is a William Morris design so I guess late 1800s?

I’m the odd man out- I think you should go for it. There’s enough interest in other details to stand up against that bold (and wonderful) wallpaper. It’ll all balance out.

Molly - yes, I love the wallpaper. Gorgeous. I’m always drawn to multicolor things. But on a daily basis it’s just too much for me personally. So if you love it - go for it! I think your house is amazing. Having grown up in an area where antique homes are plenty, I have always wanted one. Please show us pix when you’re done!

Thank you! Yes the indentures are related to our house. We have several of them that were handed down when we bought the house, we are lucky! The original part of our house was built in 1733, so there’s a lot of history! There’s even a hidden hatch from the Underground Tunnel in this room
