Hello, i am new here. I bought this aloe vera plant online today. When it arrived, i felt something was wrong with it because of how it felt when i touched the leaves. They have a sunken shape, no gel whatsoever when i snapped one of the leaves, just the yellow liquid with hard center and the leaves have really hard thorns. It has grown above the soil level too. I have been on the internet all evening searching for what could be wrong with it as i have little knowledge about aloe vera plant. What can i do? I called the vendor for an exchange for a smaller baby aloe vera plant (the type with white spots) but she insisted that nothing was wrong with the plant. An exchange is scheduled for Monday but I really want to try and take care of this aloe vera plant and see if i can keep it. Please help. Any good advice is welcome.If you also notice anything about the plant that needs to be pointed out, you are free to state it. Many thanks.
